چکیده

A new method, using a normal tree (NT) and symbolic simulator Maple V, to systematically formulate symbolic state equations for linear timeinvariant analog circuits with excess elements is presented. Our objective is to develop an algorithm so that a computer program can be written to formulate the symbolic normal-form equations of a large class of analog circuits containing linear resistors, inductors, magnetic couplings, and capacitors, independent voltage and current sources, and the four types of linear controlled sources. Using the symbolic normal-form of the state equations in the numerical solving of these equations we obtain a higher accuracy. The state matrix in the symbolic form is used to obtain a simplified expression of any circuit function, preserving a “cluster” of poles and zeros. The method of symbolic computation to find the state-space model, without any inverse of literal matrix, may greatly facilitate cancellation and simplification of subexpressions. According to our method a program was implemented, called SYSEG – SYmbolic State Equation Generation. The SYSEG program is very easy to use, and it has been tested with many and various analog circuits.

A Decomposition Technique for Setting up the Symbolic State Equations of Large –Scale Analog Circuits

In this paper we present a decomposition technique to systematically formulate the state equations in symbolic normal-form for linear and/or nonlinear time-invariant large-scale analog circuits with excess elements. The decomposition and the aggregation procedures are shown and an illustrative example is given. The computation program allows the formulation of state equations in a symbolic form...

Sensitivity and Tolerance Analysis in Analog Circuits using Symbolic Methods

230 Abstract — The paper is focused on a new and practical approach to perform sensitivity and tolerance analysis of analog lumped circuits. Any linear circuit can contain passive elements, magnetically coupled inductors, excess elements, and any type of independent and controlled sources. Special strategies based on symbolic methods are used in order to reduce the computational effort and to m...

On the Sensitivity Analysis of Analog Circuits

The paper presents three procedures for the sensitivity analysis using auxiliary circuits: the Bykhovsky Perkins Cruz’s method, the incrementalcircuit approach and the adjoint-circuit approach. All methods, based on the auxiliary circuits, have needed an efficient partially-symbolic method for the circuit analysis. For this, it was elaborated a very good procedure for the partially-symbolic ana...

Behavioral Modeling and Transient Analysis with Analog Insydes

This paper presents some new extensions of our Mathematica toolbox Analog Insydes for modeling and analysis of nonlinear circuits. Circuits are described by means of hierarchical netlists containing top-level netlists, subcircuits, and symbolic device model descriptions from which circuit equations can be set up in sparse tableau or modified nodal formulation. Some examples of Analog Insydes’ n...
